About Me.....

On the first day of 2011 what is better than to retrospect myself in the vision of a HR proffesional in the corporate..

So who am i?

"I would like to describe myself as a very straight forward person who likes to take things in his stride in a very level headed manner. Life is quite exciting to me as it has a galore of opportunities and experiences to offer and I feel one should always make the right use of it. I am adventurous by nature for I like to take up new challenges. It gives me the zeal and impetus to work towards excellence. One thing I firmly believe in is that one should always strive towards individual betterment in whichever form it may be keeping themselves within the societal norms. Therefore I'm never tired of beginning where others end.

Born and brought up in a small northeastern town of Guwahati, life has always been smooth run, because I do not believe in holding on to the bad experiences as they can act as a barricade for my future actions. To me the thing that matters most are my aspirations. Aspirations to be the person I want to be. For that the two most important things that illuminate the path to reach my aspirations are: Knowledge and Freedom. To me, freedom means not being limited by my desires. Freedom gives me choices, an outcome of a struggle and lets me make my dreams a reality. Freedom and liberty never meant defying rules, but recognizing the compulsions that are inherent in each human being and inwardly trying to assimilate each day’s experience and learn from it. Knowledge on the other hand binds me to the world. Every opportunity, every individual, every circumstance gives a scope for self improvement and a chance to build a better perspective of the world around you. I readily accept every single opportunity to collate all such learning experiences and continue building myself at every moment of life. I believe that more than successes, it is failures that teach a person the true lessons and my perspective of life has always been to look out for lessons not only from my life but others too. I try learning each day, imbibe the lessons and work my way towards my aspirations. Talking about choices– over time, I have overcome many societal, economic limitations to indulge myself in a myriad of things. My being a student, an adventure enthusiast, avid reader, a volunteer on social causes, aficionado of bikes, connoisseur of food, an addict of music and movie buff to name some, take my intellect to a completely new level. On the professional front, my varied interests help me engage almost anyone and everyone in a conversation. People relate to me in unique ways, and I form deep personal relationships that are radically different from professional echelons. I have been moving towards my destination. Slowly and sure footed, I have unshackled myself, built my profile to reach where I am today and prepare myself for the next freedom battle. I believe that harbingers of freedom create value - tangible or intangible, real or notional. Creation is the essence of my next journey. Peace, love, and understanding are legitimate aspirations I want to pursue through meaningful work. At some point of time I would love to give back to the society which includes my parents who have played an immense part in building the person I am. The value, attitudes, beliefs that has been built into me is indebted to the society and I would look forward to any opportunity to give back to the society within my personal boundaries.

My areas of improvement would be to restrict my hyper activeness to a certain level; sometimes I get carried away towards achieving a certain goal rather than looking at alternate ways of doing the same thing. To counter it I try to plan activities in a structured manner and dedicate more time to plan well before execution."

You have to see it to believe it

I can be totally creative now coz I wanna talk about some of the most creative things of this world. These species is the most interesting species to study. They are the most complicated; they are "yucks" and "wow" at the same time. Although I have spent a quarter of my life with them I still cant get the basics right of how to handle them. What makes them happy, what makes them sad, what makes them stand out andat makes them interfere in our dreams so much?

Mumbai-The fashion capital seemed to make the situation more complicated. Here you are spoilt for choices even though each feels a burden on the small time you can dream. With the fishes you see on the sides they can make you just look at them and admire them but the moment you try to catch them either they slip away or you feel you are not a lucky one to catch hold of them.

They are shaopaholics, mall freaks, movie freaks, Fashion freaks, and whatever still you cant call them freaks..

But the evenings here are really beautiful and the weekends are even better as the visibility of such species increases. Mumbai allows them the space to show off their creativity and for us to enjoy the art. The age do not seem to have any effect on them and the makeup makes up for all anguishes- it workks so well that if you are gazing them with wide open eyes, you may have forgotten to see a 3 year old kid walking side by side.

The best part of all this is most of the time you see them inside beautiful machines and get into a major trouble of where you should concentrate.

My imagination is going places now but end of the day one of the major questions that come to mind is

"Why god has been so linient to Mumbai to give the city all the things to be a dream city to get a dream life?"
